Recent changes to Ondanse, newest first.

Fixed

  • Tapping "promote", "taxi dance" or "offer a service" on a festival now takes you straight to the form and puts the cursor in it. Only the promo-code one did that before; the other two opened a form further down the page without telling you.
  • A festival card in the list now offers all three, instead of leaving out "offer a service".
  • Offering a promo code, taxi dancing or a service now works the first time. Every one of them was refused with "your profile is still being reviewed" — the same save that created your profile, so nobody could get past it. What you set up stays private until it is approved, exactly as before.
  • The example WhatsApp name and phone number shown in the empty contact fields are now made-up ones from a range kept aside for examples, instead of details that could belong to a real person.

Improved

  • Everything you offer at a festival — a promo code, taxi dancing, or a service like massage or photos — is now managed in one place. The separate "My promoter codes" and "My taxi dancing" entries have gone; "What I offer" covers all of it. Old links still work.
  • A festival page now shows one section for everything dancers offer there, instead of a separate taxi-dancer section beside it.

New

  • Registering a promo code, offering taxi dancing and offering a service now all work the same way, in one place, so you fill in your photo, your details and your links once instead of three times.
  • Your profile page now shows how complete it is and whether dancers can find you yet.
  • The save button now says what actually happens: Submit for review the first time, Review submitted while it is being looked at, and Save changes once it is approved.

Improved

  • You can keep editing your profile while it is being reviewed, and saving no longer sends you back to the start of the queue.
  • If you offer more than one thing at a festival, you can stop offering just one of them and keep the rest.
  • A discount written as "10€" or "7,50" is now understood instead of disappearing when you save.

Fixed

  • On What I offer, the boxes you type into are now proper fields with room to tap, instead of thin unstyled lines.
  • The green "Live" and "your number stays hidden" labels are now dark enough to read. They were too pale against their own background.
  • Opening What I offer now shows the details you already saved, instead of an empty form. Saving that empty form used to erase your description, your email and your WhatsApp username.
  • On What I offer, "Name to show" and "A few words about you" no longer sit on top of each other.
  • Adding your photo is now one button that asks how — take one, choose one, or paste one — instead of three buttons stacked on the page.
  • The phone field no longer says "optional" twice.
  • Opening a festival link in a new tab, or following one somebody shared with you, now shows that festival instead of jumping to the list view you last used.
  • Changing the language now keeps you on the page you were reading, instead of sending you back to the list.
  • A new profile picture now appears straight away on your artist page, instead of the old one staying until the page had been left alone for a few minutes.
  • The "Take a photo" button now only appears on phones and tablets, where it opens the camera. On a computer it opened the ordinary file chooser, which is what the button beside it already did.
  • When the same festival is listed in several places, it now keeps its real name instead of a promoter's title made of dance styles and discount words. Some festivals were showing under a name nobody would search for, so they were impossible to find by name.

Improved

  • Searching for a town, city or country now shows it as a pinned chip and lists the festivals around it, and removing that chip clears the place and its distance again.
  • iPhone dancers can now watch each Safari installation step after tapping Install, instead of relying on written instructions alone.
  • Your profile photo can now come straight from the camera or from a picture you have copied, as well as from your photos, and you see it before it is saved.
  • You can choose your profile photo while filling in your profile for the first time, instead of having to save and come back.
  • Photos taken on a phone are now shrunk and squared before sending, so adding one uses far less data.
  • Artists can now take their profile picture with the camera, as well as choosing or pasting one.
  • Choosing an artist picture straight from an iPhone now works, instead of the photo being refused for its format.

Fixed

  • On the agenda the floating Back button now sits next to the "keep looking" shortcut instead of on top of it, and shows just a back arrow.
  • Festival listings with coming-soon or promotional text are now easier to identify as duplicates before they reach dancers.
  • The What's new page no longer shows the same heading twice under one date, so each day's changes are listed once.
  • The "Who we are" introduction now appears only on the home page, so it no longer looks like part of an artist's or festival's own page.
  • The page where you manage what you offer at festivals now opens for you instead of asking you to log in again.
  • You can book a massage, hair or photo slot with another dancer again — the booking button no longer stays switched off.
  • Providers can save the times they are free again, instead of the save failing every time.

Improved

  • Every page now has a clear Back button, with an extra floating button after scrolling and a swipe-back gesture from the left edge.
  • Festival details now say when the location or line-up is still to be announced, while admins can recover missing facts from trusted event sources.
  • More Latin, Bachata, Salsa and Kizomba festivals can now be found through Go&Dance listings.
  • Artists who manage their profile can now read and edit each section in place, with their season card always ready to share below their details.
  • Verified artists can open their public page from the header or settings, and season-card previews now stay within the artist page.

Fixed

  • Festival cards now put Going and Interested last and make them the biggest buttons, so the agenda choices stand out from the event and ticket links.
  • Interested and Going are now simple on and off switches on a festival card: tap to add it to your agenda, tap again to remove it. The separate Not interested button is gone.
  • Admins can now enable browser notifications without the subscription being rejected.
  • Marking all admin notifications as read now survives temporary database limits.
  • Festivals added through operator imports now appear without waiting for a second approval.

  • Artists who own their profile can now generate and share a ready-made season card image from their festival lineup, including one or two selected years and a direct path back to their Ondanse page.
  • Festival pictures found in Facebook imports are now kept by Ondanse instead of disappearing when Facebook's temporary link expires.
  • Dance styles can now be typed into list and map search, with active styles shown as simple removable filters.
  • Artist profiles now bring identity, links, upcoming festivals and artist-owned tools together in a clearer mobile layout.
  • Artist profiles now show a clear crown badge that tells you whether they can be claimed and opens the right claim or ownership details.

  • Operators can now review notification activity, mark alerts as read and turn notification rules on or off from one console.
  • Notification rule switches now have a clearer outlined off state and a consistent rose on state in every theme.
  • The notifications bell now updates when alerts are marked as read and announces the unread count correctly to screen readers.

Fixed

  • Search suggestions for artists and DJs now behave like a real keyword tap on the list, map and filters pages, so discovering a badge matches the rest of the search flow.
  • Promoters can now edit their promo code, discount and booking link from "My promoter codes" instead of being stuck once submitted; saving sends the change back for review.
  • Opening the offer-a-service link on a festival now opens the form even if you have not already marked the festival as Going; promoter requests, taxi dancing and service offers all record that you are going.
  • Artist suggestions now behave like the full keyword you would type: tapping one turns it into the same chip and URL state as a manual search, so discovery stays consistent across the list, map and filters pages.
  • Searching from the list and map bars now commits a typed artist or DJ keyword as soon as you leave the field, so the same discovery flow works there as it does on the full filters page.
  • Festival and artist pages now keep the language you chose in the web address instead of slipping back to the bare English page when the app reloads.
  • Switching the language now changes the URL to the matching locale, so the page stays on /fr, /ca or /es instead of leaving the old language in the address bar.
  • The language picker keeps the browser address and the interface in sync, so switching between locales no longer leaves the old page language in the URL.

Improved

  • Admins can now manage push notifications from a dedicated console with the recent activity feed and trigger rules in one place.
  • Searching for a DJ or artist now finds the middle of a name, not just the start: typing "Whit" finds "DJ Whit". Accents and punctuation no longer matter either, so "Enah" finds "Enäh", and the closest match is listed first.
  • The admin home dashboard now shows live usage panels for the community, providers and festivals while keeping the existing operational tiles unchanged.

Fixed

  • Offering a massage, hair, photos or a private class at a festival was announced but impossible to actually do: there was no button anywhere to start it, and the "What I offer" page only appeared once you already had a profile — which you could only create from that page. There is now a chip on every festival you are going to, and the page is always in the menu. Since nobody could offer anything, nobody could book anything either; that works now too.

New

  • Dancers can now offer more than dances at a festival: massage, hair and make-up, photos, private classes, or a dance as a taxi dancer. You get your own page with a photo, a few words about you, your flyers and your links, you say when you are free, and other dancers going to the same festival ask for a time. You fill your profile in once and it follows you to every festival.
  • The badges on a festival now take you somewhere. Tapping "1 massage" opens that person's page with their free times; where several people offer the same thing it opens the list of them. Before, the badge just sat there.
  • A booking is now a request you answer. Someone asks for a time, it is held while you decide, and you accept or decline it. If nobody answers within two days, or the time arrives, it is released so it is not lost for everyone.
  • You can share your own page. It has its own web address you can paste into the festival group, and it is kept out of search engines so your photo and name do not turn up in a web search.
  • Copied a flyer somewhere else? You can now paste the picture straight onto the add-a-festival form instead of saving it to your phone first: Ctrl+V on a computer, or the new Paste a picture button, and each picture you paste is added to the ones already read.

Improved

  • Supporting Ondanse is now entirely optional, and the amount is yours to choose. Listing a promo code or offering dances is free: once your request checks out it goes live, and no request is ever turned down for not contributing. If you would like to chip in towards the running costs, the coffee button beside the send button explains how — and says plainly that your listing does not depend on it.

Improved

  • The example agenda on the front page now looks like the real thing: each festival sits on a numbered card with its Going or Interested pill, its dates, and the little ticket, hotel and flight tiles ticked off as you sort them out. "See more of the agenda" opens a small map of the same year, drawn as a route from one festival to the next.
  • The front page now opens on your own agenda instead of on the catalogue: it shows an example year before you sign in, so you can see what you would be keeping — your festivals on one screen, the pass and hotel booking on each one, and a warning when a festival falls on days you blocked. It also says plainly why there is an account at all, and that signing in only exists so your agenda follows you to your other devices.
  • Ondanse no longer claims to have every dance festival in the world. Keep finding festivals wherever you find them today; this is where you keep the ones you have chosen, and a festival that is missing can be added, or kept in your own agenda as a private event in the meantime.

Fixed

  • The flyer you upload now stays on screen while you finish adding the festival, and you can tap it to see it full size — so anything we could not read off it, you can still read yourself instead of going back to find the post.
  • Signing up as a taxi dancer works like the promoter form now: the send button can always be pressed, and if a dance style or the email is missing or mistyped, each field says so under itself instead of the button silently staying grey.
  • Reading a flyer no longer needs a Facebook sign-in: guest accounts can use it too, sharing a daily allowance between them.

New

  • A festival you add is now yours to use straight away: it shows up in your list, on your map and on your agenda the moment you save it, marked Pending and visible only to you. Once we approve it, it becomes public for everyone and your plans carry over untouched; if we turn it down, it stays on your agenda as a private event instead of disappearing.
  • When the festival you tried to add turns out to be one we already have, a single tap now puts that festival on your agenda — no more finding it again yourself.

New

  • You can follow a DJ or artist from their own page, and following them now changes what you see: festivals where they play are marked in the list and on your calendar, one tap shows only those festivals, and the bell tells you when someone you follow turns up on a new line-up.
  • Artists who have claimed their badge can upload a picture instead of pasting a link to one. It is cropped to a square on your phone before it is sent, so what you preview is what dancers see.

Improved

  • A DJ or artist who runs their own page on Ondanse now shows as such where you meet them: their picture appears on the festival's card, and their name is marked on the line-up, so you can open their page and follow them without hunting for it.
  • The sign-in page now leads with Google alone, and a small question mark next to the button explains what signing in shares with us: only your name and language — never your email address, photo, contacts or password. Guest access, which needs an access code most people don't have, moved down to the small print.
  • Installing the app on an iPhone is no longer a puzzle: instead of a single sentence about the Share menu, there is now an install button that unfolds the three taps one by one, with pictures of the buttons to look for in Safari.

Fixed

  • Registering a promo code no longer dead-ends on a greyed-out button: the submit button can always be pressed, and if something needs fixing — a discount typed as -5 or as 5€ instead of just 5 — each field now says exactly what to change. On iPhones the discount field also brings up the right numeric keypad.

Fixed

  • An artist's page said "Find {{name}} online" instead of the artist's name, and the whole page — the claim steps, the link editor, every message in it — was in English whatever language you had chosen. It now says the name, and reads in Catalan, German, Spanish, Portuguese and French.

New

  • You can also paste the promoter's post itself, and we read the date, the place, the DJs and the hours out of it. If the post turns out to be a competition rather than the event, we say so instead of quietly inventing a festival on the day the contest opens.
  • Adding a missing festival can start from its poster: add the flyer you saw and we read the name, dates, venue, styles and ticket link off it, then show you every line to check before anything is sent. Whatever we cannot make out stays blank for you to fill in, and if two flyers disagree you pick which one is right.
  • You can now offer to promote a festival, or to taxi dance at one, straight from the list: two small badges sit on every festival's picture, and tapping one opens that festival with the form ready to fill in. The same badges show where you have already signed up, so you can see it at a glance instead of opening each festival to find out — and a request the team has not accepted yet says it is still pending.

  • Adding a missing festival now opens a page of its own, with room to fill in what you know, and brings you back to the same list or map — filters included — when you are done.

Fixed

  • The settings menu no longer grows a second after you open it: the entries that need to be looked up first — Admin console, your promoter codes, your taxi dancing — hold their place while they load, so nothing slides under your finger and you stop tapping Delete my account by accident.
  • Socials and congresses found through lasalsadelbaile now show the DJs and teachers their own page announces, instead of an empty line-up, so those artists turn up when you search by name.
  • The same goes for festivals found through salsero and through the pages we follow on Facebook — and once a line-up is known, refreshing the festival no longer wipes it, so the artists stay put and stay searchable.

Improved

  • Your agenda has its map button back, in the bottom-left corner: one tap to go on browsing festivals, with the filters you arrived with.

Fixed

  • A discount code shouted between emoji in an event title is now picked up and shown as a promo code, and the title reads as the festival's name again.
  • When two copies of the same festival are combined into one, refreshing clears the old copies from the list, the map and the festival page instead of leaving them there for several more minutes.

New

  • You can add your own private events to My Agenda — a wedding, a work trip, a family visit — and they sit beside your festivals with the same prep checklist, documents and clash warnings. Nobody else can see them.

Fixed

  • A festival that had been merged with another record could end up titled after its venue instead of its own name. Those titles now stay correct.
  • Posters pasted in by hand from two ticketing sites no longer fail to load on the festival list.

New

  • The next festival's pass and accommodation booking are now one tap from the landing card, instead of buried three steps into your agenda.
  • Those documents are also kept on your device, so they open at the check-in desk with no signal — and the app tells you when the copy was taken.

New

  • Every festival page now carries your prep checklist at the bottom — tickets, a bed, flights, days off and the documents that go with them — visible to everyone and ready to use as soon as you sign in.
  • A shared agenda can now be compared with your own: how many festivals you have in common, so you can work out whether to share a car or split a room.

Improved

  • The filter bar is now the same on the list, the map and your agenda, and it stays put as you scroll.

New

  • Filters now live on their own page instead of a pop-up sheet: every filter in one place, a distance filter you set by dragging a circle on a map, and a single action to clear them all.
  • You can attach documents to your prep checklist — a ticket, a booking receipt, a boarding pass — and pull one up on screen at the festival without changing that item's status.
  • You can now see what changed in the app: the version at the bottom of Settings opens a plain-language list of recent features and fixes.

Improved

  • The filters page follows the order you actually filter in: dance styles, then a search box, then dates, then distance.
  • On the filters page the distance slider now sits next to the map its circle draws on, a date range can be left open at either end, and the search field matches the rest of the app.
  • Opening a page now starts you at the top instead of keeping the last page's scroll position, so pressing "Show festivals" at the bottom of the filters page lands you on the results rather than past them.
  • Notes on your timeline festivals now show their text straight on the card, next to a highlighted note icon, so you can see what you wrote without opening anything.

Fixed

  • Opening an attached prep-checklist document now shows it in a new tab and leaves your agenda open, instead of taking over the page and leaving an empty tab behind.
  • The "Filters" button on the list and map no longer breaks its label onto a second line.
  • The highlight on the My Agenda filter pills is visible again when you hover or focus one.
